Falling

This poem I am sharing with you is one of the first I ever wrote. A couple of the poems i will be sharing with you tells of my struggle to keep what i am truly feeling inside and what others may or may not see. I struggle with who I am, I struggle with the fact i don't know who i am. I search for her, the woman i know is there, sometimes i see her and often she eludes me.

Falling

A firm structure
Easily crumbles to dust
A heart filled with joy
A soul full of sorrow
A mind filled with sweet memories
A conscience full of guilt
A being surrounded by love
Yet alone each day
A smiling joyful face
A storm of anger inside
A voice ringing with laughter
A silent prayer of pleading
Hands full of care and gentleness
Tight with loathing and hardness
Eyes sparkling with happiness
Fighting back waves of tears
Once a firm strong structure
Crumbling to dust
